F:A:C:E: Mentorship x Theatre Programme 2017
***Please note that the application deadline has been extended to 17:00, 18 Sep (Mon) and the briefing session will be on 20 Sep (Wed). ***

Focusing on the elements of performing arts, the F:A:C:E: Mentorship x Theatre Programme provides an opportunity for aspiring students to connect with the seasoned practitioners in the arts and cultural industry. Through the exchange of ideas on a wide range of cultural texts, real world experiences, and most importantly, co-creation of artworks, friendship between mentors and mentees will be fostered while students’ creativity and artistic expression will be enhanced.
Successful applicants will be divided into 10 groups. Each consists of one mentor and four mentees. At the end of the programme, mentees are required to present their learning experience in any performing art forms under the guidance of mentors. All participants will have a chance to appreciate and showcase what they have gained from the programme on this finale.

At the end of the programme, potential performing groups will be chosen to further develop their short pieces into full-length performances in the second semester.

Theatre is a place full of possibilities where you can explore self and the world.
In the HKU Black Box, 10 groups of students are going to present their cultural and intellectual exchange with practitioners in the arts and cultural industry in 10 unique and experimental pieces of work about stillness, solitude, sustainability, relationship, communication, public privacy, city and village…

They experience, explore, reflect, create and perform.  Let’s connect with them through theatre.
