Bio of Speaker(s) 講者簡介: Kay Wong
Kay Wong
Born in Hong Kong, Kay graduated from Central Saint Martins (BA Printed Textiles) and Royal College of Art (MA Constructed Textiles) in London. She founded fashion-arts label Daydream Nation together with her brother Jing Wong in 2006. Over 10 years, Daydream Nation sold to 80 shops around the world; dressed international celebrities; collaborated with a range of brands; and even caught the eye of Chanel, whom selected pieces from their AW09 collection to inspire Karl Lagerfeld's work. Currently, Kay is on a mission to create zero-waste art and design, adopting a green approach to her styling projects by abstaining from fast fashion, borrowing from designers and upcycling. She is columnist for HK01 and MINShk, writing mainly on tops of sustainability, fashion and lifestyle. In order to raise more green awareness, Kay has partnered with various organisations to bring various happenings to Hong Kong, such as the screening of The True Cost documentary and Save Them From the Landfill Sale.
