The success of music industry does not rely on those under the spotlight only, but also the concerted efforts of many unsung heroes behind the scene.
Chiu Tsang-hei began his music career in 1986, and works in music composition, music arrangement, producing, music directing of pop concerts and film scoring. He is in high demand as a music director of pop concerts, and the co-producer of “130 Years of Medicine in Hong Kong” theme song 《杏林遍地》 and a parent of a MBBS student.
Adrian Chow (LLB 1991; PCLL 1992; LLM 1994) has established himself as an all-round composer-lyricist-arranger-producer, and displays in his compassionate tunes of socio-political concerns. He is the co-producer and did the music arrangement of the HKU 100 song Brighten Me with Virtues. Chow is also the long-term producer and lyricist of Cantopop singer Kay Tse.
Alfred Hui (BDS 2012) enjoys his two-faceted life as a qualified dentist cum artist. The three of them who are playing different roles in the sector will share with us why they started their music career, and whether there is a future for the Hong Kong music industry.
